About the course
The Campaign Strategy and Organising (CSO) Training is AktivAsia’s flagship foundational training. It is a residential 5-day training designed to strengthen community organising and campaign strategy skills and tools for activists in Asia. It offers a hands-on learning experience of new organising models and campaign tools, and the opportunity to connect and share lessons with other campaigners from across Asia. You will learn to analyse power, design strategies and tactics, and strengthen your organising strategy in a fun and empowering way!
What you’ll learn
- Share skills, practices and experience about what’s working in climate and energy campaigns
- Expand our toolkit for campaign planning, strategy development and building people power
- Create and build on strategic, winning campaigns
- Introduce basic communication tools to support campaigns and advocacy
- Create a learning community that will practice learning in the workshop with a continuous action-reflection approach
- Deepen connections and grow networks and alliances between climate and energy campaigners to drive the energy transition
What you’ll gain
The training aims to strengthen the strategic capacity of climate activists in Asia to develop and implement successful people power campaigns. The underlying assumption of the program is that with enhanced skills and knowledge, campaigners are better equipped to develop winnable campaigns The larger goal is to build a community/network of practice amongst campaigners and organisers in the region.
